Abstract
Historical textures, as the cultural heritage and identity of each city, play an important role in the urban regeneration process. Therefore, paying attention to historical textures from different aspects and analyzing and examining them based on the urban regeneration approach in the form of the existing situation and providing functional solutions in the proposed situation can greatly help improve the performance of such textures in the city. Inpresent goal of analyzing and evaluating the historical context of Area 3 based on the urban regeneration approach, a descriptive-analytical research method has been used. Therefore, in order to collect information related to the historical context in the form of examining the current situation and evaluating solutions and suggestions derived from the strategic analysis - questionnaire, the required data and information have been collected through document and library review, Therefore, the information obtained has been examined using the QGIS information system in the form of effective regeneration indicators in the current situation, and using the strategic technique Qspm, effective strategies and suggested solutions for the regeneration of the area have been extracted. The research findings show that the 3 historical fabric areas of Kerman city have various weaknesses, strengths, opportunities, and threats, which, given the high potential that this area has in the city, This indicates that Area 3 of the historical fabric of Kerman city has the potential to benefit from regeneration, and given its position in Kerman city, urban regeneration indicators and components can be implemented in it
