The statistical population of Urmia citizens is between 18 and 70 years old, and the sample size is estimated at 411 people who were selected by cluster sampling. The obtained data were calculated using Pearson's correlation test, and regression analysis was used to obtain the amount of prediction of the dependent variable by the independent variable. To measure each of the variables in the questionnaire, a 5-point Likert scale was used.
According to the results obtained, the correlation between smart citizenship and ecological citizenship was equal to 0.364 with 99% confidence, indicating a positive and meaningful relationship, also the regression analysis of the variable of smart citizenship with ecological citizenship showed it was that smart citizenship predicts 17.3 percent of the variance of ecological citizenship in citizens
Ecological citizenship, age, and education are powerful variables for predicting smart citizenship, and given the relationship between these variables, investing in and developing each of these variables can lead to the improvement and development of the other variables.
