An analysis of the damages affecting the inefficiency of the historical context of the Benab Mosque Square with a reconstruction approach

Abstract

Introduction: The historical context of Bonab Mosque Square is exposed to various threats and damages. These damages not only threaten the visual beauty and historical value of this fabric, but also affect the cultural identity of Bonab city.
Data and Method: The research method is based on the nature and collection of descriptive survey type data and in terms of purpose, developmental-applied. In order to screen the identified variables, the fuzzy Delphi technique was used and the classification of 23 key sub-factors among the 6 main factors was confirmed by experts' survey. Then, it has been analyzed using the DANP method, which is a combination of "Dematel" and fuzzy "ANP" methods. The statistical population of the current research is 30 urban experts, municipal experts, improvement and renovation experts, and professor’s familiar with this subject through a questionnaire.
Results: It shows that the environmental dimension with a score of (0.186925) has the greatest weight, followed by the physical dimension with a score of (0.179506), communication (access) with a score of (0.171332), social, economic and cultural with a score of 0.17017, urban view with a score of 0.161357, and management with a score of 0.126786 have occupied the second to sixth ranks.
Conclusion: It shows the importance and priority of the identified damages in order to recreate the fabric and reduce its inefficiency.
