Abstract
Objective: The perception and judgment of Zahedan citizens and newcomers regarding the quantity and quality of green space, city parks, asphalt roads, facades, urban texture, cleanliness, and urban furniture is worrying and shows weakness in city management.
Materials and Methods: This applied research was conducted with a researcher-made questionnaire and two-stage random sampling of statistical data of 453 people in and with models: single-sample EIQ2, Kruskal Wallis, Kendaltao C, Somers D and Shapirowilk analyzed
Results: In total, 67% of Zahedan citizens were dissatisfied with the administration of city affairs, and 11% of them were satisfied. The level of dissatisfaction of citizens fluctuated from 72% in the field of lack of urban spaces for spending leisure time to 66% in the field of cleanliness and garbage collection. The dissatisfaction index among illiterate respondents was less than diploma, diploma, associate, bachelor, master, and doctorate, with an error level of 0.000 22%, 53%, 62%, 83%, 82%, and 100%, respectively. The spatial distribution of these citizens' dissatisfaction in the above six ranges was significant with an error of 0.000. The ranges from level one (the highest level) to level six (the lowest level) were 86%, 87%, 81%, 69%, 54%, and 31%, respectively.
Conclusion: This research is the effectiveness crisis of Zahedan's urban management, i.e. the effectiveness of measures to achieve goals (citizen's satisfaction) given confirming the assumptions, proposing to evaluate the efficiency of urban management and specifically reviewing the strategies and policies by the relevant institutions emphasized in this research.
