Analysis of the Status of the Components Affecting the Sociability of Urban Spaces (Case study: Haj Rais Alley, Bushehr city)

Abstract

Introduction: The presence or absence of humans in public spaces and territories as a representation of human behavior will lead to the emergence of signs of participation. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to identify and extract effective components on the sociability of public spaces; Analyzing and explaining the correlation between them, confirming the proposed model; And finally, the evaluation of the sociability performance of the study is separated by the components approved by the experts.
Data and method: This research is applied and has a descriptive-analytical nature and has been carried out using a quantitative method. The theoretical basics part was done using library sources and the field part was done with a quantitative method using a questionnaire, and the model test was done using the binomial test method in SPSS software and confirmatory factor analysis in Lisrel software. The statistical population is the population of Bushehr and a sample of 150 is selected. The sampling method has been purposeful and citizens have been selected who have experienced the perception of Haj Raees alley over time.
Findings: The findings showed that the physical, social-activity and cognitive-meaning components explain the concept of sociability and also each of the mentioned indicators are able to measure these components.
Conclusion: The results indicate that the components of access and communication, visibility, sociable furniture, active uses, performance of the space in attracting different age groups and finally flexibility are in an unfavorable situation from the point of view of the visitors.
