Abstract

The current research method is descriptive-analytical and has a practical purpose. Data collection in this research has been done in library and field. The statistical population of this research is the residents of Miandoab city over 65 years of age. Using Cochran's formula, the sample size is estimated to be 364 people, which was distributed in a simple random manner in the study area. In this research, the model of Walker Michael (1996) satisfaction-importance matrix was used to analyze the data, and the aging index formula was used to evaluate the population structure.
The most extensive IS values for the sub-criteria related to the eight main research criteria are 0.7144 (housing), 0.5705 (social participation), 0.5649 (respect and social inclusion), 0.7149 (civic participation and employment), 0.4689 0 (communication and information), 0.4440 (community support and health services), 0.6295 (outdoor spaces and buildings) and 0.5104 (transportation). Considering the amount of IS for the sub-criteria of the Age-Friendly City in Miandoab and according to their importance and satisfaction percentage, the two strategies of increasing the emphasis on the existing situation and stabilizing the current emphasis are appropriate and justified. Conclusion: In the future, Miandoab's population pyramid will go in a direction where people over 60 years of age will include a large number of the population. The aging phenomenon in Miandoab is a reality with different cultural, social, economic, environmental, health, and medical dimensions. Creating a dynamic Age-Friendly City depends on providing conditions based on policies, structures, strategies, programs, facilities, and urban services.
