A look at a decade of research on marginalization in Iran based on the systematic review method

Abstract

After the industrial revolution, the problem of marginalization became popular as a complex, multi-dimensional and widely used phenomenon, and various theorists began to theorize in this field to understand and control various social, economic, security and cultural consequences. In this regard, various structural-functional, contrastive and action-oriented theories, each according to their intellectual paradigm, entered the problem and provided various solutions. The fundamentalists emphasized on a radical approach to the unequal distribution of opportunities, the goal oriented on organizing, optimizing and empowering and the problem oriented on the role of city managers.
Data and Method: This research was conducted in accordance with the qualitative strategy and systematic review technique. In order to carry out the research, all the researches that have been carried out in the field of marginalization in Iran during 2013-2014 and have been published in reliable scientific-research articles in the field of sociology and urban planning have been examined and finally 48 The research was recognized as qualified
Results: After a complete review of the selected researches, five categories including causes, consequences, multivariate investigation of marginalization, description of marginalization from the point of view of marginalization and description of characteristics of marginalization were identified and more than 80 findings were displayed in five tables.
Conclusion: The use of research findings in the field of urban management provides a transformative perspective in the field of complex problem management to researchers and urban managers and can be developed in various fields, especially in accordance with opportunity-threat methods and qualitative methods.
