Measuring and evaluating the location of the historical gates of Kerman city with the focus on urban revitalization and regeneration

Abstract

The current research aims to measure and evaluate the historical gates of Kerman city, first examine these historical gates and their importance from the position of satellite processors, and then with a comprehensive and theoretical view of the position of these gates according to the principles and Select criteria for urban regeneration. To answer these questions with a macro and critical view, using the descriptive research method - content analysis, by examining the documents and statements related to the relevant gates and collecting data through documentary, library and field research, the most important effective criteria. Urban regeneration on historical gates has been investigated and then the obtained information has been analyzed using SOPI software image processing.
The position and position of the historical gates in the public opinion of the contemporary city of Kerman has the ability to reconnect the city with its old structure in the perception of the citizens, and the improvement of the six gates of the city can create pleasant public spaces and develop commercial or cultural centers as well. It can also have a positive effect on citizens' understanding of the city and its old structure.
The gates can be effectively restored and by taking advantage of the strategic location and using sustainable methods, they can become prosperous and lively urban spaces for the social interactions of citizens and at the same time contribute to the sustainable development, restoration and protection of the remaining historical works and context of Kerman city.
